Alessandro Michele takes over the Gucci Train's control from Frida Giannini and he is bringing new blood onto the train to go home together with him. He got the train choo-choo-ed back to its glorious days during the sixties. If you think 'urgh-urgh not yet', he will. Alessandro Michele has made something old becomes new-- becomes something unexpected but intriguing. If you say fashion cycle is just like an economic cycle-- the trend will repeat itself, then Alessandro Michele has certainly revived Gucci's iconic designs, and also the old days' fashion. I swear, I had never spent so much time looking at a collection so carefully, and yet it didn't bore me out because I'm amazed at something new I discover each time I see it over and over again. It makes me wonder how the fuck did he actually put so much details on a piece of clothing and have every single piece so well-designed that I doubt he actually slept every night before the show. I always appreciate the details that a designer puts on, and the amount of creativity, originality and attention that Alessandro Michele showed on the designs has actually left me speechless. These are masterpieces, I mean, if these are not, what is?

Let's see what are the details:

One. Geek Fashion.

This is our stereotyped perspective towards someone we call as 'GEEK':

Alessandro Michele has changed our impression towards geek. Geek is no longer an unfashionable or socially inept person (urgh 'inept', what a rude word to call someone).

Now you might want to borrow your grandmom's clothes, they are not passé anymore.

TWO. Gloves and Nail Rings.

The models' hands in Gucci's show played a crucial role as well. Not only the gloves, but look at that nail rings (not sure what's that called), the heritage rings... Alessandro Michele makes sure that he does not forget about the hands too, ahh look at the amount of details he paid.

THREE. Heritage Rings.

This kind of big statement rings were used to be on trend years ago, and it's time to dig them out from your accessories box.

FOUR. Vintage Watch.

The bold green and red stripes are one of the Gucci's trademarks. You can see models wearing this Gucci watch, which uses 'vintage' materials called Plexiglass to show the revolution of technology in the 1980s. Your grandma probably has a watch made of this material.

This is the 'map dress' that everyone's talking about.

EIGHT. Gucci Iconic Bags.

The iconic GG monogram and the Web's bold red and green stripes handbags were carried by almost every Gucci fans you know out there many years ago and they slowly disappear until today. But these famous icons are coming back, and I expect him to make them even more iconic and successful. Although I'm still not into the GG monogram tote even though it has birds, flowers and ribbons on it (ahh my favourite things!!), but I just simply love the others, especially the red wine bag, which is my most favourite amongst all. I can imagine Queen Elizabeth II carrying the bag, looking elegant.

And I can tell, it'd still look great as it's aged, but I wouldn't.

NINE. Neck details.

Big tie, big flowers, big bows. Now the rule 'your tie must cover your belt' doesn't hold in Gucci anymore.

It wouldn't be a surprise if you say Gucci would have spiking sales, because Alessandra Michele has not only brought back what the Gucci fans have always wanted, but also rebuilt Gucci into a brand that has an even stronger sense of identity that indirectly strengthens the brand's status symbol.

Well, you could see how much I love Gucci SS16, but I'm just a poor writer on Campazine...
