Are You Going Nude?

While nudity seems to be the trend on the red carpet because it'd grab the most attention even if you had a wardrobe malfunction, perhaps it's time for our face (especially if you've always put on heavy makeup) to go nude too? With haute couture SS16 week that's started days ago (and ends today), we can certainly get some inspirations from the makeup artists at the haute couture fashion week.

It seems like naked-like face with really minimal makeup is the new sexy-- but don't forget that flamboyant eyeliners. Chanel's eyeliners can be a pair of really high risk lines to draw, perhaps it's time to try Giorgio Armani's to add a bit drama on your face!

I'm definitely not a beauty guru, but I can share with you what I use to create that nude look, since this is really what I've been wearing all time. Personally, I don't really put on makeup daily, but I can't live without a red matte lipstick and a lipbalm. When I have to put on makeup, I'll normally just add-on a loose powder. I don't really fancy Japanese makeup style, but opt for more of a French style, like the Dior's (third photo) shown above. This is the type of loose powder, lipstick and lipbalm that I've been loyal to for a long time until I find the next better substitution:

I've a very sensitive and dry skin, I find Chanel's vitalumière loose powder works particularly well on my face. It's very light, and it creates an even skin tone. Most importantly, it doesn't make my skin appears dehydrated (given that you've applied moisturiser well). Not forget to mention that Kabuki brush that's super nice to use. Although I have a dehydrated lips too, but I don't like creamy and moisturised-feel lips, so I'll always go for any matte lipstick after this Chu Lipbalm which can be purchased in any drugstore. And currently I'm in love with NARS lipstick for its vibrant colour and long-lasting effect, I find this matte lipstick better than M.A.C.'s. I've always loved Fresh's lipbalm, but now I find a better substitution that suits my style-- just because it's as moisturised as Fresh's but it appears much less milky-- a perfect match with my matte lipstick! Quite nude isn't it?

This is my way of going nude! How's yours?

Perhaps I should give Giorgio Armani Prive's double eyeliners a shot, but as I don't enjoy being the public attention, I might just sleep on it first. What do you think? Would you try?
