End of April is coming, and it's freaking me out. For friends who have asked and know me well, they'd have known that I've decided to take a one year gap after graduation and yes, only about 3 months left to July.
I actually spent the months staying at home to concentrate on my extra studies, as well as preparing for an online business that I'm going to launch in about 2 weeks time which I've been planning on since last year December. If you're feeling a bit curious on what that business would be, you might have guessed it right-- of course it's about fashion! It's about something that inspires me after I watched a fashion documentary by Andrew Morgan 'The True Cost'.
To launch a business is stressful, I jumped right into the preparation without much thoughts about 'What If It Fails', until when everything's almost ready, this question slowly surfaced. Perhaps the only answer is 'JUST FUCKING LEARN AND FIX IT'. *laughs
I'll update more about this little project soon over here, so do stay in touch if you care!

OK...

Well! Talking about business, LVMH, Prada, Burberry and on have reported falling revenues, and ASOS has exited from the largest market of the world, China that's launched in 2013, which costs them 10 million pounds to exit. With so many cheap clothes and imitations online in China, it doesn't surprise me that they've struggled to succeed, even IKEA has faced a lot of challenges in China because there'll always be imitations that sell cheaper than theirs. We all know intellectual properties are not being well-protected in China, but luxury houses are not afraid in exploring and investing in this big market, although China's growth has slowed and sales from China have been slumping. If you wonder, luxury goods spending in China has declined 24% in March alone. Thus, this leads to some people suggest that the expansion era to China has over, with Versace tops the highest China exposure (21.9%) in terms of its number of existing stores. Guess which houses don't have ambitious plan to invest in China? Answer: Michael Kors, Hermès and Tiffany & Co. OK... but almost everyone's got a MK bag (and a LongChamp bag) here in Malaysia, I've been wondering WHY. Afterall, it's just a normal tote that doesn't make you look chic at all, but I agree that it is a good bag in terms of practicability.

If you're a Jason Wu fan, you'd probably be thrilled about his new label Grey that sells contemporary collection that is more playful. The first GREY collection is expected to be launched in June. Read here for more information. Will this be an expensive collection? It's reported that it will be priced lower than his main line, the price for his first collection will be between $250 and $1395, is this more affordable to you?
If you are a shopaholic and a fan of Jason Wu, but you can't afford to buy a piece of Grey now, your happiness level might be low. This is because a Cambridge study has confirmed that money can actually buy happiness, as long as what you spend is aligned with your personality and psychological needs. I finally understand why I spend so much on food but I'm not happy...
Because psychologically I want to slay like Beyoncé does *LOL
That's it for today's Fashion Dose! Fashion Dose is basically a series of medium length posts that I previously posted at the homepage of this website as 'Editor's Letter'. The letter normally talks a bit about what I've been up to and I also wrap up some interesting & important news of the fashion industry. Hope it keeps you updated about what actually happens in fashion.
Happy Monday!!
